This was my second "NEW" bike. I bought this bike brand new with 0 miles in March 2005.
After owning it for two days I decided to take a backward spill at 90 mph and make a nasty mess
of my brand new bike. When the bike came to a sliding stop it had exactly 250 miles on it. Needless
to say it was a small fortune to put the thing back together considering it was a completely new model
and parts were very hard to come by. Luckily a friend of mine in Georgia who builds super bikes just
happen to have all the parts I needed. After putting the bike back together I decided to start racing it but
with road racing being so time consuming I turned back to good ol fashion drag racing! The first season
I did well and started the mods. The beginning of season two I decided to bottle feed it and ended up
blowing out two and a half pistons. Stock motors don't stay healthy for long with nitrous. :o) I then
built my nitrous motor. The bike was running good but I still wasn't happy so the next logical step was to
go turbo! I am in the process of getting the turbo bike completed and these are the steps that got me there!

As with previous projects, this is what she looked like new.

This is how she looked after the Brock/Hindle Gen 3
Streetsmart exhaust and Zero Gravity double bubble windscreen.

I then removed all the red stickers and replaced them with the diamond plate, polished the wheels and added
the extended swing arm. This picture shows my bike on the race track with my rear race wheel on before I polished it.

The Tear Down!

Before you can rebuild you must remove.
I failed to document the tear down after the "nitrous incident" but these four pictures show
the tear down before building the turbo motor.

You can see what is left of the nitrous
system. this 1 lb bottle would get me three
good passes before having to refill.

I decided to go with a completely new
body kit including fuel tank. The kit is about
17 lbs lighter with tank. The tank is a race
tank which is lowered and cut high
tunnel for the turbo plenum.

The Mock-Up

This body kit came from Catalyst Racing
Composites. Of course with any kit you have
to do a body mock up to ensure that all holes
and necessary mounting hardware are in place
prior to painting. This bike is built mostly for
the race track so the headlight was an
option I omitted and later added.
